Salary: £26,403 - £28,142
Hours: 37 per week over 4 weeks. Sample rota - 10pm 8.30am

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people and making a real difference in your community? Rochdale Borough Council’s Strategic Housing service has been through a period of change resulting in vacancies for Accommodation Night Workers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality homelessness services, helping individuals access safe accommodation and the services they need to move on successfully.
Your role will include ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming, providing information and guidance to residents and colleagues, recording information accurately on various systems and in writing. You will also play a key part in ensuring residents are safeguarded appropriately by sharing information with the wider team.
About you:
We are looking for people who are passionate about providing quality services to homeless people and are proactive in sharing information with colleagues.
The successful applicant will
- Be approachable and have strong communication skills
- An awareness of the barriers faced by homeless people
- Carry out health & safety checks and report repairs
- Provide information and guidance on housing processes and benefits
- Check IT systems for information and follow guidance/procedures
- Maintain accurate written records and liaise with partner agencies
- Promote safeguarding and challenge inappropriate behaviour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding vulnerable people
