Summary

Sheet Metal Worker - CNC Press Brake Specialist

Location: Bishop's Stortford area, Hertfordshire

Full-Time | Permanent | Immediate Start Available

Salary: £35,100 - £39,780 per year (£15.00 - £17.00 per hour, DOE)

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (45 hours/week)

About the Role

Long-established manufacturer and installer of building envelope solutions, currently seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker - CNC Press Brake Specialist to join their busy Sheet Metal department.

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for someone with solid experience in CNC Press Brake operation and sheet metal fabrication. You'll be working on a variety of bespoke and production components, contributing to high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC Press Brake machines to produce precision sheet metal components

  • Interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately

  • Conduct quality checks and make adjustments as needed

  • Operate additional machinery including Punch Press, Guillotine, and Piercing machines

  • Use hand tools for finishing and assembly tasks

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

  • Complete job-related paperwork and follow health & safety protocols

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in setting and operating CNC Press Brake machines

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on the job

  • Experience with other sheet metal machinery is a plus
