Job Title: Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer

Location: East Midlands

Start Date: 2nd September 2025

Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary

About the Role

A leading Further Education college in the West Midlands is seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Carpentry & Joinery to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and train the next generation of carpenters while working in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.




Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to Level 1 & 2 full-time students and Year 1 & 2 apprentices
  • Plan, prepare and assess engaging Carpentry & Joinery lessons
  • Support learners in achieving their qualifications and developing their practical skills
  • Contribute to the department's ongoing growth and success




Hours: 24 teaching contact hours (37 hours per week total)




What We're Looking For



  • Carpentry & Joinery Level 3 qualification
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Assessor qualification desirable but not essential
  • A passion for developing learners' skills and knowledge
