Occupational Therapy Technician

35 Hours per week

Temporary up to 31 December 2026

£30,251 - £30,871 / £16.58 - £16.92 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are seeking a motivated and practical individual to join our Community Equipment Service team. As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting people to live independently by ensuring the safe delivery, installation, maintenance, and collection of essential equipment across Orkney.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver, install, and collect community equipment in service users’ homes.
• Carry out routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs.
• Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and fit for purpose.
• Maintain accurate records using digital systems.
• Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other health and care professionals.

The ideal candidate will hold an SVQ2 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject, possess excellent communication skills and have at least 1 years’ previous relevant experience in working with older people or those with disabilities.

This post is subject to a Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with protected adults.
