As a SOC Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the daily operations of the Security Operations Centre, supporting the SOC Team Lead in delivering a reliable, responsive, and compliant service.

Job Description

As SOC Operator, you will ensure the smooth running of the SOC by managing incidents and service delivery at ground level, responding swiftly and effectively to evolving operational needs.

Your focus will be on maintaining compliance with the Private Security Industry Act and associated regulatory standards, including BS7499, to ensure all activities are conducted to the highest professional and legal standards.

This role requires a calm, confident, and methodical approach to service delivery, ensuring the SOC operates efficiently and consistently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe and compliant operational support as part of the duty team

Use IT, analytics, and sustainability tools effectively

Support frontline teams and sector leadership daily

Act as a first responder for out-of-hours incidents

Ensure deployed assets are safe and incidents are properly managed

Provide daily reports on productivity and labour efficiency

Promote health, safety, well-being, and customer experience

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC)

Knowledge of security policies and industry best practices

Skilled in incident management and process development

Proficient with security systems and tools

Strong team communication abilities

Capable of writing clear and accurate reports

Familiar with operational applications in security contexts
