Salary: £28,969.00 to £33,543.00 per annum
Type: Permanent, Full time (35 hours per week, 9-5 Mon-Fri)
Location: 25hpw at Rowan Court (RG6) + 10hpw Relief across Sheltered and Extra Care Schemes including Reading, Newbury, Thatcham, and Windsor area. (Mileage paid)
Driving licence and access to car essential.
This role requires an enhanced DBS

Key responsibilities:
-Health & Safety and Fire Checks: Be accountable for Health & Safety and Fire safety checks including comprehensive and clearly auditable records. Effective liaison between internal departments as necessary.
-Safeguarding: You’ll know what to look for and take swift, appropriate action when needed, and you will be responsible for regularly monitoring and reporting on the general safety and wellbeing of customers, including signposting, and referring customers to support services’ where appropriate.
-Partnership Working: Liaising with care providers, GPs, social services, families – keeping it all joined up.
-Being the ‘go-to’: You’ll be the first port of call for residents, families, and professionals alike.
-Effective management of the building and estate to ensure effective health and safety management, security and cleanliness of the site. This will include things such as reporting repairs, undertaking fire alarms, conducting pull cord checks and effective recording of this.
-Effectively manage the termination of tenancies and associated liaison with the voids, lettings team and contractors.
-Responsible for customer engagement and consultation, facilitate customers’ aspirations for social and wellbeing activities, proactively engaging with care, statutory, and voluntary agencies, ensuring the service and site is accessible to all.
-Manage low level ASB cases in accordance with policies and procedures working with the Housing team and provide clear guidance to customers reporting ASB.
-Assist customers to claim Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits, to ensure rent arrears are reduced and rent is paid regularly and on time.
-Supporting colleagues and managing cover at Extra Care Schemes. Working in collaboration with third party onsite care providers.
-Completing KPI’s returns as outlined in Support Contract set by Local Authority.

More about you:
-Intermediate MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems
-Proven experience in a customer-facing role within care and/or support
-Proven experience of working with vulnerable people and community groups
-Confidence with Health and Safety basics
-Sound working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice frameworks.

Nice-to-haves:
-Level 3 in Housing or Supported Housing
-Health & Safety qualification
-Knowledge of welfare benefits like Housing Benefit or UC
