JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 50 year old man living in Llantwit Major with my two dogs. I have an acquired brain injury as a result of an aneurism a few years ago.
On bad days I can have a little difficulty with my balance and walking. I have previously had some anxiety attacks and would require reassurance and patience in these instances.
I need someone who understands the practicalities of working with someone with brain injury difficulties; someone who is patient and understanding of my changing needs.
I volunteer in a local radio station every week, recording my own show. I am obsessed with music from classical to heavy metal and anything in between and I have my music on where ever I am.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me at home with cleaning.
PLACE OF WORK
At my home address
HOURS OF WORK
2 hours per week in one shift any day except a Friday
9:00-13:00 I can be flexible with time.
RATE OF PAY
£12.30 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
• Mopping, hoovering dusting
• Cleaning the bathroom which would include sanitising
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• Someone with a good sense of humour
• To be calm and patient
• The willingness to learn about anxiety or some experience, although this is not essential
• Someone who can communicate well if things are going to change
• Trustworthy and punctual- this is really important to me
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
Thank you
