Requirements ESSENTIAL A/I DESIRABLE A/I Qualifications/ Education Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy Evidence of Continued Professional Development A A Membership with Special Interest Group A Professional/ Statutory Registration HCPC Registration A Membership with RCOT A Previous experience Previous clinical placement experience in an acute or community setting Post-graduate experience commensurate to the role Experience of working as member of a multidisciplinary team A/I A/I A/I Experience with urgent response, emergency department, community A/I Skills/Knowledge/ Ability Remains updated with professional practice and new research. Understand the legal responsibilities of the profession Able to present information, written and orally, in a clear and logical manner Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate Ability to work with Multi/interdisciplinary and analyse tasks and activities, synthesise findings and develop goal orientated treatment plans. Understand and apply principles of risk management to clinical practice Understanding of Clinical Governance and the implications for occupational therapy services including experience of quality issues and audit Understanding principles and application of supervision in promotion of clinical effectiveness as a supervisee. Ability to comprehend and work within the Trusts policies of data protection, equal opportunities and Health and Safety to meet the differing needs of the Patients Ability to appreciate the sensitivity, complexity of context and culture and diversity within clinical practice.
