Senior Administrative Officer/Executive Assistant to Professor Charles Leek, Head of School: Psychology.

The Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences are excited to be announce the recruitment for a full time, permanent Senior Administrator to join the friendly Faculty Operating Service (FOS) team supporting the School of Psychology. The role is varied, and no two days are the same. In this varied role you’ll work closely with the Head of School for Psychology, academic community and colleagues that support the core business needs - education, research, and enterprise from across the University to ensure that the School is fully supported.

The successful applicant will be motivated, enthusiastic and a proactive team player who is able to work effectively in a flexible and responsive environment.

As a senior member of our busy administrative team, you will provide high level support to the Head of School and work to deliver professional and efficient services including line management, operational assistance and administrative support to the academic community, event organisation, financial administration, HR support, organising and minuting meetings, space management, and ordering resources.

We welcome applicants with experience with an Executive Assistant style role and the ability to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation of own work whilst contributing to a team, effectively managing a diverse workload and a strong attention to details.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have the ability to build effective and credible working relationships and liaise confidently with academics and senior colleagues.
Be adaptable, flexible, proactive, able to work under your own initiative and be a collaborative team leader, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach.
Have excellent line management and organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage workload across a team to meet business requirements.
Manage complex processes, analyse and interpret business information and support local governance committees.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and well as up-to-date MS Office skills (including Ms SharePoint and Teams).
The post holder will report to the School Operations Manager.
