Salary: £36,276 per year (inclusive of one weekly sleep-in shift)

We’re seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a warm, welcoming, and therapeutic 5-bedded residential home for children and young people. This is a rewarding full-time role with a competitive salary and excellent career progression opportunities.

Located in a peaceful semi-rural setting on the northern edge of Swindon, our home offers a safe and nurturing environment with large grounds for outdoor activities. We are within easy reach of Cirencester, Faringdon, Royal Wootton Bassett, and Marlborough, making for a straightforward commute.

Role Responsibilities

In partnership with the Registered Manager, you will help oversee the home’s daily operations and ensure high standards of care and compliance. Your role will involve:

Supervising and guiding the care team

Ensuring safeguarding practices are followed at all times

Contributing to the development and review of individual care plans

Meeting Ofsted standards and organisational policies

Creating a homely, therapeutic atmosphere

Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people

About You

Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Full UK driving licence

Experience in a residential children’s home as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) with the ambition to complete Level 5

Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and children’s home regulations
