Part of Mitie Intelligence Services, PerpetuityARC Training and Tavcom Training are dynamic and agile organisations recognised globally for delivering a comprehensive range of world-class accredited security management, technical security system, and control room programmes, including a Postgraduate and MSc in International Security Risk Management.

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager / Account Manager to join our new Birmingham training centre. This role will support both the PerpetuityArc and Tavcom brands.



Role Overview

This is a client-facing role focused on developing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts. You'll be instrumental in driving growth, enhancing customer relationships, and supporting marketing initiatives. Prior experience in the security industry is beneficial but not essential—comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

-To welcome, support and network with delegates attending training at the Birmingham centre.

-Identify and develop new business opportunities in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

-With a focus lead generation and qualification manage and grow existing client accounts through proactive engagement and support.

-Maintain and update customer and prospect databases.

-Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute campaigns within budget and timelines.

-Conduct targeted marketing to key sectors including MOD, Police, Government, Local Authorities, and multinational organisations.

-Respond to sales enquiries via email, phone, MS Teams, and in-person meetings.

-Provide regular sales activity reports and insights to management.

-Perform market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback surveys.

-Attend internal meetings, trade shows, and occasional overseas travel.

-Participate in training to enhance product and industry knowledge.



Skills & Experience Required

-Proven experience in sales and marketing.

-Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

-Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

-Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

-Full UK driving licence required.

A second language is advantageous but not essential.
