Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prosthetic Dental Technician to join our dental laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication of denture try-ins, denture finishings, as well as performing repairs and additions to existing dentures. This role requires excellent craftsmanship, knowledge of dental prosthetic materials and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read laboratory prescription forms and follow instructions given by dentists
- Fabricate accurate and functional denture try-ins based on dentist-provided impressions and bite registrations.
- Construct and process finished full and partial dentures using appropriate techniques and materials.
- Perform denture repairs, including fracture repairs, tooth replacements, and base material repairs.
- Complete denture additions, such as adding teeth or clasps to existing prostheses.
- Ensure all prosthetic appliances meet the laboratory’s quality control standards and fit/function expectations.
- Communicate with dental professionals regarding case specifications and adjustments when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench and follow all laboratory safety and hygiene protocols.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in prosthetic dental laboratory work, specifically with dentures
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and prosthetic fabrication processes
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Bench Test of setting up a denture during the interview
