Summary

Join a meaningful UK-wide initiative powered by AbilityNet in partnership with BT Group, focused on reducing digital exclusion. As a Digital Skills Disability Specialist, you will provide expert guidance on disability and assistive technology to disabled individuals across a designated region. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting trainers and volunteers throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, helping to deliver the BT Group-funded Digital Skills Training Programme with impact and integrity.

What we're looking for
Ideal candidates will have and be able to demonstrate the following:
- IT Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of assistive technologies across both hardware and software. Demonstrates strong digital literacy and technical confidence, including proficiency in Office 365.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive, self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative, drive projects forward independently, and deliver impactful results.
- Training and Facilitation: Proven experience in facilitating training for groups and individuals, including confidence in delivering presentations.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for engaging, motivating and supporting learners and colleagues.
- Organisation: Highly organised with strong administrative skills, able to manage competing priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
- Relevant Experience: Demonstrated experience working with disabled people, older individuals, and charitable organisations.
- Travel Flexibility: Willing and able to travel regularly across a large region, with occasional travel outside the designated area to support broader programme needs.
