REF: Bradford 5274262
Pay rate: £300.00 per day PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 2 months
Working Arrangement: TBC

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to join a forward-thinking team in Transformation and Change. This is a unique opportunity to help reimagine how services are delivered in a vibrant and diverse city, using cutting-edge technology to drive real improvements.

As a Digital Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the council to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and design smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You’ll be instrumental in introducing and embedding digital tools — particularly Power Platform and Copilot — to automate processes, enhance user experiences, and unlock new capabilities. Ideally you will have previous experience in a local authority or large public sector organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with service areas to understand business needs and translate them into digital opportunities
Build strong, trusted relationships with services to support meaningful change and long-term collaboration
Lead discovery sessions and process mapping to identify areas for improvement, using Lean methodologies to streamline and simplify workflows
Work with a multidisciplinary team to brainstorm and design solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Champion the use of Copilot and other AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making
Support change management and user adoption across teams

What the client is looking for:

Proven experience gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and translating business needs into clear, actionable solutions.
A track record of identifying, designing, and implementing technology-enabled process improvements within complex organisations.
Previous experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to develop, automate, and visualise solutions.
A good understanding of AI-assisted tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and their application in streamlining workflows and improving decision-making.
Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders, from operational teams to senior leaders.
Skilled in discovery, documenting “as-is” processes, and redesigning “to-be” workflows for efficiency.
Experience supporting teams through change, including training, communications, and adoption strategies.
A strong background in working within multidisciplinary teams, co-creating solutions with developers, service leads, and end users.
Ability to interpret complex challenges, identify root causes, and recommend pragmatic solutions.
Excellent verbal and written skills for presenting ideas, producing documentation, and guiding stakeholders through change.
