West Dunbartonshire HSCP is seeking to appoint to an exciting and challenging role of Improvement Officer within its Strategy and Transformation Team.

The successful candidate will be joining a team responsible for a diversity of activity and where a shared passion exists to support the HSCP with improvement across all of its activities.

The Improvement Officer is responsible for quality oversight and improvement planning in all areas of governance and compliance, and the analysis of subsequent themes in order to support West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) ability in continuing to increase quality control and exceed the requirements and regulations set by other stakeholders.

The Improvement Officer will collaborate effectively with stakeholders from across West Dunbartonshire HSCP, SSSC, Care Inspectorate, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and other local authorities/health boards who share a focus on supporting improvements to the successful delivery of health and social care provision.

Working with people who use services, senior leaders, managers, practitioners and other stakeholders, excellent partnership working skills and written and verbal communication skills will be required to ensure information and activities are accessible to a variety of audiences.

With a relevant degree, the successful candidates will confidently draw upon their experience of working in a Local Authority or Health setting or similar and using quality assurance and quality improvement methods and techniques to provide expert quality improvement advice to internal and external partners. With essential project management skills, the Improvement Officer will be able to support partners from problem identification through to monitoring the implementation of solutions which bring about improvements in quality.

Requirements

The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure Check (Level 1) prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
