About the role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people in care? We are looking for a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer (Looked After Children) to co-ordinate and oversee the quality of provision for Looked After Children and Care Leavers across our campuses.
You will work closely with local authorities, carers, guardians, curriculum teams, and support services to ensure that learners receive the highest quality experience and are fully supported to achieve their potential and progress to higher learning, apprenticeships, or employment.
As a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will take the lead in identifying and referring safeguarding concerns, coordinating interventions, and ensuring robust statutory safeguarding arrangements. You will also monitor learner progress, coordinate Personal Education Plan meetings, provide training to staff, and liaise with external agencies to ensure every learner has access to the right support at the right time.
If you are committed to safeguarding, have strong partnership-building skills, and can demonstrate experience supporting Looked After Children in an educational setting, we would love to hear from you.
