Summary
Job responsibilities: To provide Nursing services to the registered population of Throckley Primary Care, working as part of the Primary Care Team. The core responsibilities will include the following areas although this list is not designed to be exhaustive and on occasion other tasks may reasonably be added which are commensurate to the role: Chronic Disease Management / Year of Care Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care Cytology Wound care Removal of Sutures Health Checks Travel Clinic ECGs BP monitoring Asthma Venepuncture Routine immunisations Childhood immunisations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate, who are being examined by another clinician Contribution to the Practice Quality and Outcomes framework and Quality Schemes as appropriate Maintaining and cleaning equipment Maintaining GP and Nurses rooms Ordering of vaccinations and supplies to maintain stock levels Other competence areas: Assist patients to identify their health needs in a supportive and caring manner Maintain accurate records at all times. A duty to advise colleagues of any issues or concerns relating to individual patients Attend and participate in any practice meetings when required. Manage own workload efficiently and identify improvements Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Following agreed clinical protocols as appropriate Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained
