FTE Salary: Up to £32,040.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £15,742.49
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
Working Hours: 21.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
-Providing induction, digital and research skills sessions for different learner levels and abilities.
-Supporting learners and staff in the use of electronic and paper-based resources and information sources.
-Supervising the Libraries in line with the Libraries Service Level statement and college disciplinary procedure
-Responsibility for the planning, development and promotion of a balanced collection of learning resources. This will entail, for instance, liaising with academic departmental teams to agree resources for selection and addition to the collection
-Supervising the workload and performance of the Library Assistants to ensure effective and efficient operation of services as defined in the Libraries Service Level Statement
-Deputising on LibraryPlus matters in the absence of the Library Manager

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
-A Degree in a relevant subject area
-Proficient in research and digital skills
-Good knowledge and understanding of electronic learning and the use of web-based technologies to support learning
-Excellent IT skills and an understanding of ILT and virtual learning environments
-Experience of supporting learning and developing resources
-Experience within a library or learning resource centre and past usage of Accessit (or a similar Library Management System)
-Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
