Painter & Decorator - Torquay, Devon
Reinstatement works - Internal works
We are recruiting for a temporary position in Torquay, Devon. Our client is southwest based SME construction contractor involved in new builds, refurbs and reinstatement works. With an outstanding reputation they are growing exponentially. The nature of this specific project is reinstatement works.
There will be opportunities with them on other developments if you do a good job.
Day to day:
• To work from a works schedule.
• Painting and decorating.
• Working to deadlines, up to 3 weeks to complete.
• Painting internally and using matt vinyl emulsion, mist coat, dulux undercoat, dulux stainwood, top coating.
• Painting and decorating joinery.
• Painting walls, ceilings and woodwork.
• Creating a safe space to work area, moving some furnishings.
• Use lining paper and hang anaglypta wallpaper.
• To assist with the reinstatement of a fire damaged building.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Following site safety.
• Tidying after yourself.
Requirements:
• Must have previous experience as a painter and decorator for this job.
• This job involves hanging wallpaper and decorating.
• Professional at all times.
• Good work ethic.
• An in date CSCS card is preferrable.
• PPE
• Driving licence is not essential but will be an advantage.
• Good timekeeping.
