Summary


A rare and exciting opportunity for a fixed term secondment has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse, to work in our Paediatric Clinic at Queen's Hospital Burton.

We are seeking a registered nurse that is enthusiastic and motivated, to work with us, as our departments enter an exciting phase of change.

Our clinic provides outpatient care for babies, children, and young people, in and around the Burton area, and provides care from birth to adolescence.

We work closely with the Paediatric Outpatients at the Royal Derby Hospital, with cross site rotation being part of this post.

The department is open 5 days a week from 0800-1800hrs. The successful applicant will be expected to work these hours and to rotate to the Paediatric Outpatient Department at Derby.

The role will include cross-site working.

Applicants must hold RSCN or RN child branch qualification.
• Working as part of a nursing and medical team to provide outpatient care to babies and children.
• Support a range of clinical specialties, contributing to the delivery of an effective, efficient and responsive outpatient service.
• You will be supporting the senior team in the safe, smooth, and efficient day to day running of the clinics and ensuring the clinics are supported in delivering their individual speciality.
• You will act as the patient's advocate and maintain privacy and dignity at all times. 
• To provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in all aspects of the delivery of high-quality care.
• You will manage multiple clinics and be offered opportunities for development of the clinical skills necessary for the role.
• You will have excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude.
• The ability to prioritise your workload and liaise confidently with staff from all disciplines is essential.
• You will act as shift coordinator in the absence of the Sister
