United Response is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our supported living services in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including Deaf individuals, both in their homes and in the local community.

As a national disability charity, our mission is to ensure the people we support live fulfilling, independent lives. We deliver person-centred, empowering care that helps each individual achieve their goals and aspirations.

What you’ll be doing
• Supporting the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
• Providing direct, hands-on support to the people we support
• Supervising staff, managing rotas, and overseeing support plans
• Liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies
• Ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained

What we’re looking for
• Confidence in mentoring and supporting team members
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• IT literacy and ability to manage administrative tasks
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional sleep-ins
• Experience supporting Deaf people, or a willingness to learn sign language, is highly valued

What you’ll get in return
• 20 days’ paid annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part time) – increasing with service
• 2 additional paid Wellbeing Days each year
• Fully paid training and access to recognised qualifications
• Pension contribution
• Cycle to work scheme and season ticket loan
• Occupational health, counselling, and wellbeing services
• Life assurance scheme (2x basic salary)
• Staff discounts and Blue Light Card eligibility

If you’re passionate about empowering others, growing your leadership skills, and making a real difference in people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note: This role includes some evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts, as well as sleep-in duties.
