Summary
Ensure and promote excellent communication with all members of the MDT Provide condition related information to children and their families or carers in clinic setting and at the bedside (pre-op and post-op), to include gaining informed consent, requiring empathy and reassurance. Set up and lead once-monthly patient groups within the community, providing information, support etc Attend weekly clinical meetings as needed to foster collaborative MDT working. Ensure confidentiality and adherence to data protection legislation. Ensure that a full and accurate record of care is documented in a timely manner utilising appropriate nursing and medical systems as well as our bespoke stoma care database Ensure stoma care database and diary are used effectively and accurately Promote inclusiveness and treat people with kindness and compassion Promote a team ethos and a positive working environmen Ensure grievances/disputes/complaints are investigated thoroughly in a timely manner.
