We're on the lookout for a compassionate and proactive SEN Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, inclusive school near King's Lynn, Norfolk. In this fulfilling role, you'll support students with additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, helping them feel secure, confident, and ready to learn. Job Details:

Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk

Role: SEN Mental Health Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: £13.80 - £15 per hour (includes 12.07% holiday pay)

Contract Type: Temp to perm

SEN Mental Health Teaching Assistant: What You'll Be Doing

Support with heart - Build strong, positive relationships with students, providing consistency, reassurance, and encouragement

Promote independence - Help pupils grow in confidence and develop essential life skills for the future

Engage creatively - Assist with imaginative, tailored lessons that bring learning to life

Be part of the team - Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support every child's journey

Adapt and thrive - Embrace each new challenge with positivity, patience, and flexibility

Focus on the whole child - Support not just academics, but emotional and social development too

Please note that the role does involve some regular physical activity (restrictive physical interventions, interacting with students through play on the floor and responding) promptly to escalated situations.

What We're Looking For:

GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

A basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided)

Experience with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs is a real advantage

Reliable transport or easy access to King's Lynn

Full right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
