Trainer

About us

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and
inspire change. Whatever service we deliver, we do things the Big Life Way.

Our training offer supports both internal staff and external partners to deliver inclusive, strength-based, person-centred care.
We co-produce our training with people who have lived experience, ensuring that our courses reflect real-world needs and promote
wellbeing, resilience, and understanding across communities and organisations.

What you’ll be doing

As a Trainer, you’ll design and deliver high-quality training programmes for The Big Life group and external clients. You’ll
create bespoke content focused on workforce development, health and wellbeing, and anti-discrimination practices – ensuring
alignment with trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches.

You’ll develop both accredited and non-accredited content for online and in-person delivery, and contribute to the growth of our
training offer by running “train the trainer” courses and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

You’ll support the empowerment of people and communities to build confidence, skills, and wellbeing through accessible learning.

What we need from you

* You have experience designing and delivering training to diverse audiences
* You’re confident delivering both in-person and online sessions, using interactive methods
* You’re comfortable working collaboratively with staff, partners, and people with lived experience
* You understand trauma-informed and strength-based approaches and embed them in your work
* You have a recognised teaching or training qualification
* You’re organised, proactive, and able to adapt your style to suit different learners
* You’re committed to equality, inclusion, and ongoing personal development
* You need a standard level DBS check for this role

What we will offer you in return

* An annual salary of £29,777 (NJC Point 22)
* A full-time, permanent contract
* 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years), plus bank holidays
* A relaxed culture where you are expected to plan your own day, take breaks when you need them and enjoy your work
* Ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision
* A supportive, flexible approach to managing staff health and wellbeing, including a wide range of perks, schemes and support.
