Summary

Are you looking to apply your administrative skills in a role that truly makes a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Access Assistant and Driver based near Brighton.

In this role, you’ll support a visually impaired Guide Dogs Employee, helping them perform their duties effectively through a mix of remote and in-person support. In-person support could involve attending meetings to take notes and scribe information, tasks such as providing sighted guidance to navigate unfamiliar environments, helping with access to systems on a laptop, or describing the layout of rooms at events.

The role involves reading data and inputting information into Guide Dogs’ internal systems, as well as using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (Microsoft Fabric). You will manage an Outlook calendar, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate and confidential records.

You will also be responsible for locating information from a range of sources such as the intranet, printed materials, and internal databases, and creating accessible versions where required. Travel is a key part of this role, including driving the employee to Guide Dogs sites and providing in-person support during meetings and sessions by describing visual information as it arises. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and confident with digital tools in an administrative setting.

The ideal candidate will be located within a commutable distance of Brighton & Hove and be comfortable driving long distances. This role requires travel within the South region and occasionally to other parts of the UK.

You’ll be working 21 hours per week over three days. For further information and the full requirement of the role, please review the attached candidate pack.
