Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Support Officer to be recruited into the Corporate Service Support structure on a full time, permanent basis to support the Porth Gofal service area.

About the Role:
The Service Support Officer will be a member of the Integrated Community Equipment Stores team which arranges the delivery and installation of specialist health equipment and supports those most in need of care and assistance.

You will be expected to undertake various administration duties, including dealing with telephone calls, inputting and extracting information from IT systems, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, minute taking, as well as many other activities associated with a busy office environment.

There will be numerous other duties which will form part of the wider role, such as arranging servicing schedules, contacting suppliers to order replacement stock and liaising with staff from the health and social care sector.

There may be occasions where the role will support other services within the Through Age Wellbeing model, therefore the successful candidate will need to be flexible to meet service needs.

About the Candidate:
We are seeking an individual who possesses a minimum level of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, including English & Maths at grade C or above.
The following qualities are required for the post including:
• ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
• ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• ability to analyse the impact of problems and prioritise
• good numeric and analytical skills
• understanding of data security and how that relates to data disclosures
• must be able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maturity
• to work with staff at all levels throughout the authority
• good customer care skills; diplomacy, tact and ability to resolve conflict

It should be noted that the responsibilities of the post holder require the successful candidate to be based at the Ceredigion Independent Living Centre, Felinfach for the full working week.
