The role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Compliance Admin Officer to support statutory functions, including the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act, and process disclosure requests from third-party agencies.
As a Compliance Admin Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive information, and you will be responsible for reviewing and redacting third-party personal data from complex social care files, often involving highly sensitive content such as child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities:
Process disclosure requests from external agencies in line with legal requirements
Review, assess, and redact confidential information from social care files
Ensure all data handling is compliant with current Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation
Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in managing sensitive and distressing content
Manage a high volume of documents efficiently, read extensive documents, and perform well under pressure
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure lawful and timely responses
What the client is looking for:
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to document review and redaction
The ability to remain composed and professional when working with distressing content
Proven experience handling large volumes of complex documentation
A solid understanding of the Data Protection Act, GDPR, and Freedom of Information Act
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Capable of handling sensitive information, such as cases involving child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic violence
