Here at Serco, within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) we focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system, ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with a high standard of accommodation. 

The Analytics and Strategy directorate plays a critical role within the AASC contract, and as Associate Product Owner you will play a role in working collaboratively with subject matter experts to define detailed requirements and will need to foster and support innovation aligned to the overall business strategy.

You must have at least 1 to 2 years experience in Agile Software Delivery, which will include product backlog management, sprint planning and execution and stakeholder communication.

What you’ll need to do the role


- Product Backlog Management: The candidate will demonstrate skills in the creation, prioritisation and refinement of a product backlog.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form are essential as the successful candidate will interact with numerous departments and senior stakeholders.


- Technical Literacy: The candidate must understand web and mobile technologies, APIs, and databases and have the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand technical constraints.


- Interpersonal Skills: The position requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated and proactive while taking initiative; have exceptional problem-solving skills, work comfortably in a cross-functional setting, work comfortably with senior stakeholders, take accountability for performance, and have an ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. They will be a relatable individual who is easily approachable and can inspire trust in others.
