Summary
The community ambulatory service facilitates 4 clinics across 3 sites. You do not need to be a car driver but you will need to be able to independently travel to any of the 3 sites. There are 3 ambulant wound clinics and 1 clinic for IV antibiotics. They are located in Northwood, Long lane, Hillingdon and Hayes. Competencies required for this role include, but are not limited to: Leg ulcer management- dopplers and compression therapy VAC therapy Pressure ulcer care Surgical wound care IV therapy Care of Picc lines Cannulation CNWL provides a robust preceptorship program that focuses on progression and development of skills which includes regular supervision and a first-class learning experience in all aspects of community nursing. We have an extensive in-house training program that will equip you with all the theoretical knowledge required to ensure you are a confident, competent practitioner. In addition, our newly recruited clinical nurse facilitator will be available to guide and support all new starters within the service to ensure you feel supported and you have an enhanced learning and development experience.
