Summary
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated clinical nurses to join out team as a Macmillan funded Spinal Nurse Practitioner.
This is a new role will offer the postholder the opportunity to develop the care of patients with spinal care needs through expert clinical leadership and the provision of education and training to the Multidisciplinary team.
We are keen to hear from enthusiastic cancer clinical nurse specialists who are keen to improve the management of patients with specific spinal care requirements such a Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression.
We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with cancer experience who will lead the development of expert care for patients with spinal care needs. Skills and qualities required for this post include:
Excellent communication skills with both patients and staff.
The ability to develop strong relationships with all elements of our Multidisciplinary Team including Medics, Nurses, Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists. You will also work as part of a wider network of spinal care experts across the Trust.
Develop links with community services to ensure consistency in service delivery for our patients.
Delivery of complex information in a clear and sensitive manner for our patients.
Delivery of bespoke training sessions, and bedside teaching for our Multidisciplinary team
