Field Service Engineer – Travel the UK & Get Hands-On
Fancy a role where no two days are the same? Ready to get out from behind a desk, solve real technical challenges, and travel the country while doing it? This could be your next adventure.
Monday to Wednesday – travel across the UK; Thursday and Friday – work from home. The perfect balance of adventure and flexibility.
A Level 3 Electrical Qualification is essential, as you’ll be working with complex electrical systems, carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring all work meets strict safety standards.
We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a fast-growing, award-winning team. You’ll be visiting client sites, keeping high-tech systems running smoothly, and making a real impact. Hotels, road trips, and hands-on problem-solving included.
Your duties:
• Service, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of systems
• Carry out installations, replacements, and remedial work when needed
• Check system performance, from control units to pumps and storage devices
• Flag opportunities for upgrades and additional services to our sales team
• Explain technical info to clients in a clear, friendly way
What You Bring:
• Level 3 electrical qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel the UK and stay away from home up to 3 nights per week (we cover hotels and food!)
• Solid technical skills, attention to detail, and great communication
• A can-do attitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work both independently and in a team
Extra Points If You’ve Got:
• Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance or installation
• Construction or technical services background
What You Get:
• Travel the UK and see new places while getting paid
• Full training and certifications provided (Confined Space, First Aid, Working at Height, CSCS, and more)
• Company van packed with tools, plus laptop, mobile, fuel, and credit card
• Competitive salary with bonus opportunities
• Progression opportunities to Commissioning and Installation Engineer roles
• Minimum 40-hour week, with plenty of overtime available
• 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, with extra days after 2 years
• Full Christmas shutdown period
• Work with a friendly, passionate team in a sector that’s growing fast
If you love a mix of travel, tech, problem-solving, and variety, this is your chance to get out there, get hands-on, and build a career you’ll love.
