Job / Role Description:
A rare opportunity within an exciting industry is now available for a qualified Level 1 or Level 2 or 3 Vehicle Technician.
Vehicle Technician / Inspector required to join London’s Most Dynamic Film Studio, SHL London and lighting company. Become a valued member of our team Today.
This role provides a great opportunity of helping to maintain our busy fleet of vehicles that includes vans, cars, pickup trucks, fork lift truck, generators and scissor lifts.
Focused around:
-Online vehicle checks.
-Mechanical and Electrical repairs.
-Vehicle diagnostics.
-Recovery or Assistance.
Additionally including:
-Pre/post use inspections of Vans, 4x4s, Generators, HGVs, Forklift, Scissor lifts,
-Periodic planned maintenance on vehicles and generators,
-Carrying out repairs to enable complete roadworthiness/ compliance
-General Vehicle cleaning & re-fuelling
-Communication between different departments
-Basic building maintenance
-Support and promote a Health & Safety (H&S) culture by complying with all aspects of H&S policy and procedures
-Ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements are adhered to at all times
-Keeping work areas, tools and equipment clean and tidy
Preferred Skills (But not essential):
-HGV Experience
-Qualified Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair to level 2 /3, (level 1 would be considered for a person with the right attitude and aptitude)
-Eye for detail
-Able to follow strict processes
-Able to always carry yourself professionally
-Self-motivated
-Strong work & Time ethic
-work on your own initiative
All applicants must be in possession of a current UK driving license with no more than 3 points.
Working pattern:
The working hours will generally be 8 hrs per day Thurs & Fri, and can involve very early mornings or late evenings, maybe even a few hours over the occasional weekend. Some flexibility will be required.
Schedule:
Weekly alternating shift, 8.00am - 5.00pm or 6.00am - 3.00pm although some flexibility on this may be required
Salary: £28k - 32.5K (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: 16 Per Week (2 days) - 40 (5 days)
Starting Part-time with an onlook to going full time (depending on candidate)
