Summary
Location - South Powys
About the role:
• Responsible for the day to day delivery of a comprehensive housing options service.
• Provide households who are threatened with homelessness with practical advice & assistance to help them secure a housing solution.
• Undertake housing assessments interviews with people who request help in finding a home.
• Liaise with public, voluntary & private sectors to seek support for clients.
This role will be part of the current homeless triage pilot which primarily involves dealing with Level 1 homeless cases.
About you:
• Experience of working with vulnerable households.
• Have excellent people skills.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Be assertive in order to work towards realistic goals
• Be able to deal with difficult situation.
• Must be a team player.
• Be comfortable using different housing computer systems.
What you will do:
• Deliver housing advise to homeless clients.
• Work with vulnerable households to find housing solutions.
• Build relationships and work closely with public, voluntary and private sector agencies & organisations.
• Work on integrated housing information & management systems.
This position does require an Enhanced DBS check
