Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive part time daily housekeeper in Colliers Wood to join a welcoming and busy family household. This permanent live out role offers 12 hours per week across flexible days (suggested Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) between 8.30am and 4.00pm. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a warm but professional approach, and the confidence to manage household tasks independently.
You will be responsible for maintaining the home to a high standard, overseeing cleaning, laundry, and occasional errands, while taking initiative to suggest and implement improvements. This position will suit someone with strong housekeeping experience who enjoys supporting family life in a friendly and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Regular cleaning and tidying of all areas of the house, including living room, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, study, and garden areas.
• Washing, ironing, sorting, and putting away clothes.
• Changing bed linen.
• Organising and cleaning cupboards and fridge periodically.
• Assisting with household organisation and decluttering.
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans or spring cleans as needed.
• Running errands such as taking items to the charity shop or post office.
• Liaising with contractors or service providers (for example, electricians, plumbers, or gardeners).
Requirements
• Proven housekeeping experience, preferably in a family home.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude to meet the needs of a busy household.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful manner.
• Comfortable working around children (ages 18, 17, and 13) and pets (two cats).
• Right to work in the UK.
