What skills and experience we're looking for
About the role:
As an Engagement & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll be the friendly, steady, and supportive presence our students need. You’ll meet them at home or out in the community, helping them rebuild confidence, develop emotional literacy, and re-engage with learning.
It’s a role where no two days are the same – one day you might be encouraging a student to try something new, the next you’re helping them plan a positive transition back into school or college. Always, you’ll be making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be the trusted 1:1 coach students need, meeting them at home or in the community to help them re-engage with learning.
• Help students boost their confidence, self-esteem, and emotional literacy so they feel ready to take on new challenges.
• Encourage attendance and keep students motivated, even on the wobbly days.
• Keep an eye on emotional and engagement progress, celebrating the wins and spotting when extra support is needed.
• Work closely with families, schools, and the Delta team to make sure everyone’s on the same page.
• Create and adapt strategies to help students break through barriers and move towards their personal goals.
• Support transitions back into school, college, or other next steps so students feel prepared and supported.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records and complete any paperwork needed for schools or external agencies (because paperwork is part of the superhero toolkit too).
• Always put safeguarding first, following Delta Bespoke policies to keep students safe and supported.
What we’re looking for:
• A passionate, empathetic, and resilient individual with a genuine drive to make a difference.
• Someone who can build trust and positive relationships, particularly with young people who have special educational needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social challenges.
• Flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to whatever the day throws at you.
• Great communication skills, organisational skills, and a commitment to helping young people grow.
What the school offers its staff
Why join us?

• A supportive, values-driven team who will back you every step of the way.
• Opportunities to develop your skills and career with training and CPD.
• The joy of knowing your work truly matters.
