Location Altrincham Crematorium, Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire WA14 5R
Hybrid working is not an option with this position.
Salary range Career grade Band 3 - Band 4 (Appointment and progression will be based upon qualifications, experience and achieving required competency levels)
Starting at Band 3 (£25,989 £28,142)
Working Pattern Full time
Working hours 36.25 hours per week. Monday to Friday with some weekend working required. A flexi-time system is in operation.

About the Role
We have a vacancy within our Bereavement Services team for a business support role which will include assisting with our Pet Crematorium. There will be an opportunity for career advancement in the future, if this is something you want to consider. Based at Altrincham Crematorium, you will report to the Deputy Bereavement Services Manager and provide a professional, respectful and caring administration support service. You will assist Funeral Directors, Clergy, Members of the Public and Monumental Masons with the Cremations and Burials that take place within Trafford Borough’s 5 Cemeteries. Good communication and customer service skills will be important as you will regularly deal with the bereaved before, during and after funerals so you will also need to be resilient. You must be willing to assist our Pet Crematorium team with their operations.
We are keen to recruit someone with the right values and behaviours that can help us ensure we can provide an ongoing service of the highest quality to the bereaved and visitors. The customer experience is at the heart of everything we do.
About you
You will be a people person with a sympathetic nature and able to converse on all levels. Have a good telephone manner, be computer literate and able to complete records with accuracy. A background in a customer focused role would be advantageous. If you enjoy working in a small team and have an interest in learning new tasks and taking responsibility, this could be the perfect role for you.

Additional Information
Being flexible and working on a rota basis; covering the core hours of the office opening time of 8:30am 4:30pm and additional service times where booked.
Car User driving licence and access to a vehicle
Willing and able to travel to sites within the Trafford Borough
Occasional unsocial hours/weekend working required maximum of 5 Saturday/Sunday per annum and covering late night duties up to 7pm on occasions to meet service needs
