The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and motivated individual with a strong commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEND. We require someone who:
Holds a relevant qualification in special education or a related field.
Has experience working with children or young adults with SEND in an educational setting.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Possesses a good understanding of different SEND conditions and effective strategies for supporting diverse learners.
Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with the ability to respond to the unique needs of each student.
Has strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Learning Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide personalized and effective educational support. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing individualised education plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
Plan, deliver and assess high quality learning, teaching & assessment.
Delivering targeted interventions and support sessions to enhance students' learning and development.
Monitoring and assessing students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continued growth.
Collaborating with Programme Leaders to adapt lessons and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Providing emotional and behavioural support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Liaising with external agencies and professionals to coordinate comprehensive support for students.
Keeping detailed records of students' progress and communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
