The role

As our new Senior Reporting Manager, youll take a leading role in our innovative Project Services Centre of Excellence within SSEN Transmission. With a capital programme worth £30 billion by 2030 and £50+ billion by 2034, this is your opportunity to shape how reporting enables project delivery across Onshore, Offshore, and Development teams, supporting the UK and Scottish Governments Net Zero ambitions.

Youll govern and enhance our reporting frameworks, drive consistency across directorates, and produce insightful outputs that support strategic decision making at the highest level. This role offers the opportunity to influence and embed best practice reporting across one of the UKs most ambitious infrastructure investment portfolios.

You will

  • Set the standards for portfolio reporting by defining, maintaining, and continuously improving Transmission wide project reporting frameworks, KPIs and data structures, including the development of fit for purpose dashboards.
  • Lead integrated cross directorate reporting, working across functions and project teams to optimise transparency, identify interdependencies, and enable data led decisions.
  • Design and implement a consistent approach to performance monitoring and reporting across all stages of project delivery, ensuring accurate insights are available to senior leaders at pace.
  • Champion governance, ensuring compliance with SSEs LCP governance frameworks, transmission standards and regulatory frameworks, and coordinate key reporting for senior committees and stakeholders.
  • Offer leadership, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to the broader Transmission reporting teams, strengthening capabilities and driving continuous improvement.

You have

  • A proven track record in leading reporting functions for complex, large-scale capital projects or programmes, ideally in infrastructure, energy or utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycles, governance structures, and performance metrics across time, cost, scope, quality, and risk.
  • Advanced skills in interpreting complex data and translating insights into strategic reporting outputs, with practical experience using tools such as Power BI, Primavera P6, Oracle, and Excel.
  • Experience collaborating at a senior level, including with programme directors and executive leaders, and aligning reporting to organisational priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, embed reporting best practices, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within a matrix or programme environment.
