Your new company
We are working with a high school in the Leyland/Preston area who are seeking a proactive and supportive Classroom Support Assistant to join their welcoming team in September. This role involves working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students in the classroom and delivering occasional interventions for those with lower-level abilities.
Your new role
- Provide in-class support to students, helping them access the curriculum and stay engaged in learning.
- Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Deliver small group or one-to-one interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, and other foundational skills.
- Support students with varying learning needs, promoting confidence and independence.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally in a classroom support role.
- A patient and encouraging approach to learning support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
