Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a different kind of learning environment? A well-regarded
alternative provision in Sandwell is recruiting for both Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025.
About the SettingThis specialist education centre supports pupils aged 11-16 who face challenges in mainstream education. Many of the learners have SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), SEND, or behavioural difficulties.

‍ Teaching Assistant RoleResponsibilities:

  • Support pupils in lessons and through targeted interventions
  • Build positive relationships and promote emotional wellbeing
  • Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in SEN or SEMH settings
  • TA qualification or willingness to train
  • Calm, empathetic, and adaptable

Teaching RoleResponsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support academic progress and personal development
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with colleagues to meet holistic pupil needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in alternative provision, SEN, or SEMH settings
  • Passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
