18 month role supporting the delivery of Chemical Pathology and Metabolic Diseases clinics, day ward, research and audit.
The main role will be undertaking lipid and bone clinics and helping to conduct the day ward. There are no on call commitments. This opportunity would suit a full time or 0.8 WTE
Job description: The Trust Grade doctor will, during his/her contracted hours, perform such duties as may be delegated by the Senior Medical Staff in Chemical Pathology. In the main, these will consist of the duties defined below.
· Attending the outpatient Lipid and or Bone Clinic and undertaking duties to support the Consultant.
· Contribution to the running of the Lipid Virtual Clinic in line with service needs.
· Attending the Day Ward (Thursday morning at Glenfield Hospital) where our dynamic function tests are performed.
· One day is protected for research and audit work
· Liaising with the ward Medical Staff and following up cases of biochemical interest under the guidance of one of the Consultants.
· There will be opportunities to attend Hypertension clinics.
These duties are flexible and can vary dependent on the needs of the Department. The job is open for the consideration of part-time working.
