The Mad House is expanding — and we’re looking for a hands-on, ambitious Assistant Bar Manager to join our Dean Street team, home to Newcastle’s best Bottomless Brunches.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready to take on a key leadership role in a busy venue, develop their management skills, and grow alongside a brand that's going places.

Who we’re looking for:
A confident leader who builds a strong, positive team culture
Experience in a supervisory or management role within a busy, high-energy venue (brunch or events experience a bonus)
Highly organised — confident assisting with stock, rotas, budgets, and service standards
Passionate about the full guest experience, not just the numbers
Ambitious and driven to step up as the brand grows
Key responsibilities:
Supporting the Venue Manager in the day-to-day running of The Mad House Dean Street
Leading and motivating the bar team to deliver excellent service
Assisting with stock control, venue standards, team rotas, and cost controls
Ensuring every guest leaves with a great story to tell
Working closely with the senior team to drive business growth and brand evolution
