Are you an ambitious individual looking to kickstart your career as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor? Look no further! We have a fantastic permanent position available near Southwold working with a dynamic client specialising in commercial & industrial new-build construction, interior fit-out & refurbishment, and office and welfare furniture supply and installation.

Playing a role in supporting the management of costs and contractual relationships throughout various construction projects. This position provides a perfect stepping stone into the world of quantity surveying within a diverse and innovative construction environment.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Supporting in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations and negotiations.
• Collaborating with the Quantity Surveying team to monitor costs and financial progress throughout projects.
• Assisting in the identification and valuation of variations to contracts.
• Participating in cost analysis and reporting to ensure projects remain within budget.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships.
• Contributing to the overall success of commercial and industrial projects from inception to completion.

Experience:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying (or working towards) or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying software.
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A passion for the construction industry and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
