Experienced Curtain Maker | Ramsgate | Full Time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts | £23,800 - £29,200 per annum (DOE)

Our client manufactures bespoke soft furnishings.

They work with top London designers, architects, hotels, and have produced items for museums and TV productions.

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Curtain Maker to join their busy and dynamic workroom team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for soft furnishings and a keen eye for detail to be part of a well-established business specialising in the production of high-quality curtains and blinds.

The successful candidate will work in our dedicated workroom, producing a wide range of made-to-measure curtains and blinds to exacting standards. You’ll be working with a variety of fabrics and designs, creating both traditional and contemporary styles to suit a broad client base.

Are you the right person for the job?

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in curtain and blind making (essential)
• Strong sewing skills and confidence using industrial sewing machines
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of different fabric types and curtain construction methods
• Ability to interpret measurements, design specifications, and patterns
• A positive, proactive, and reliable approach to your work

What will your role look like?

You will work in the dedicated workroom producing a wide range of curtains and blinds to exacting standards. Your duties will include:

• Cutting, measuring, and sewing curtains and blinds to precise specifications
• Creating a variety of curtain styles, including pencil pleat, eyelet, pinch pleat, wave, and goblet headings
• Making Roman and other fabric blinds
• Working with various fabrics, linings, and interlinings
• Ensuring a high standard of finish and attention to detail in all projects
• Following design briefs and client instructions
• Assisting with quality control and finishing processes
• Keeping your workstation clean and organised
• Collaborating with colleagues to meet production deadlines
