Summary
Laundry Operative – Bury St Edmunds
We are looking for a reliable Laundry Operative to join our client’s team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a full-time, ongoing role with Monday to Friday shifts, 06:00–14:00.
Position Overview:
Role: Laundry Operative
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Pay: £12.36 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 06:00–14:00, Temp -Perm, ongoing assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Wash, dry and prepare PPE such as factory coats and gloves for production shifts
• Keep laundry room secure and organised, ensuring all chemicals are stored safely
• Clean and maintain staff areas including canteen, locker rooms, corridors and toilets
• Replenish soap, paper towels and other supplies in washrooms
• Remove rubbish and dispose of it in the correct skips
• Report any damage, faults or unusual items to your supervisor
• Assist with monthly deep cleaning tasks in various areas of the site
• Follow all site health & safety, hygiene and food safety procedures
Requirements
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and safely
• Comfortable working in both ambient and chilled environments (PPE provided)
• Good attention to detail and a professional attitude
• Training provided for hygiene and chemical safety
