Summary
We are a busy GP surgery on the Lincolnshire coast and are looking for an additional full-time receptionist to join our Skegness surgery team.
This role will involve a combination of early starts and late finishes. So anyone wishing to apply by initially submitting a CV would need to be able to start work at 8am some weeks and finish at 7pm some weeks.
Benefits: Weekends off, Bank Holidays off, minimum 27 days (or pro-rata for part time staff) annual leave per full leave year, uniform provided, DBS provided, generous pension scheme, free eye tests, training and development opportunities.
Our Reception team are key in ensuring the smooth running of our Practice. Working alongside our Clinicians and Managers to provide a professional service and invaluable support to meet the needs of our Patients.
This role is wide ranging and involve face to face, telephone and online communication with patients, in areas such as:
Helping patients get an appointment appropriate to their situation by care navigating and connecting them with other services as well as our own, such as pharmacists, opticians, and physiotherapists. Helping patients understand their options, increasing patient choice.
Your non-clinical role would involve supporting our clinical staff members. As a first point of contact you would be responsible for:
Asking patients for a brief outline of their problem.
Identifying the patient's need.
Providing information about services.
Directing patients to the best member of the practice healthcare team.
Connecting patients with the most appropriate service for any other support they might need.
To apply for this role previous experience in administrative/reception is essential. IT and telephony skills are also vital and previous experience from within a busy environment is also desirable.
Full training in use of NHS SystmOne and other software and procedures will be provided.
