The Estates and Facilities Management team are looking for a full time Maintenance Operative to join the technical response team, where you will work on the Loughborough University’s East Midlands Campus.

In this role, you will be completing works for Students, Staff, Academics, Visitors and Tenants across the campus and our team are looking for a polite, friendly and enthusiastic individual, to step into this role and help to deliver our excellent maintenance team service.

You will work with a large team to help ensure all PPM programmes, both planned and reactive works are delivered to budget and on time. Our wider maintenance team is multiskilled and you will work alongside and support Plumbers, Electricians, Joiners and Painters.

Jobs can be varied and will be delivered to your tablet and mobile phone via Archibus, our online work allocation tool. You will be expected to manager your own workload via this app, while working alongside the team. We are team players at Loughborough – and are looking for an individual that shares the same work ethic.

You will be provided with a uniform and the relevant PPE to complete this role, with access to a university owned vehicle to commute to buildings across campus, and the onsite storeroom will provide you easy access to equipment and tools.

Key Requirements:

Experience within a customer focussed environment
Ability to Assist with Water Hygiene tasks
Ability to complete minor repairs to décor of buildings
Confidence to deal with routine problems in connection with sanitary ware and bathroom
Ability to change light bulbs and fluorescent tubes and complete minor tasks connected with light
IOSH or similar H&S Qualification
