Summary

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

Make a Difference Every Day – Join Our Caring Community at Combe Lea

We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Combe Lea Resource Centre in Midsomer Norton. This is a permanent, part-time role working 30 hours per week on a four-week rolling rota.

About the Team
Combe Lea is one of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s two Community Resource Centres (CRCs), providing residential care for older adults, including those living with dementia. Our CRCs are more than care homes—they’re vibrant communities where residents feel safe, valued, and supported. At Combe Lea, you’ll be part of a compassionate team that works together to create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone who lives and works here.

About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our residents deserve. Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out domestic tasks across the home, always respecting the wishes of our residents.
Providing laundry services, including sorting, washing, ironing, and caring for soft furnishings.
Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Keeping accurate written records to support the smooth running of the home.
You’ll be working closely with other team members and residents, helping to create a space that feels like home.

About You
You’re someone who takes pride in your work and enjoys being part of a team. You’ll bring:

Great communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
The ability to build professional, respectful relationships with residents and carers.
A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
No two days are the same, but every day you’ll be making a real difference.

Interested?
We’d love to hear from you! For more details or an informal chat about the role, please contact Deputy Manager Kerry Love at kerry-ann_love@bathnes.gov.uk.
