Are you an experienced Aeronautical Engineer?
You could use your extensive knowledge to support the Royal Navy in training the next generation of Air Engineering Technicians and Officers.
The Training Support section of RNAESS is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader to manage a team of electrical and mechanical engineers in maintaining, servicing and rectifying a fleet of aircraft to support practical training.
Your primary role will be to ensure that all aircraft are maintained in a safe manner and are available to use for training when required.
Duties to include:
Act as Line manager for the Training Support Aircraft Maintenance team (Skill Zone 2 & 3 grades). Managing their day-to-day activities to ensure they are correctly and fully employed.
To plan and schedule maintenance and defect rectification of training aircraft in accordance with regulatory and local orders, considering training requirements.
Certify all maintenance activity and ensure aircraft documentation is controlled and completed correctly.
Ensure training aircraft documentation is controlled and amended in accordance with regulatory and local orders.
To control and maintain a register of all RNAESS training aircraft assets
To ensure aircraft engineering standards and practices are maintained
It is desirable, for the candidate to possess a good knowledge of military aircraft engineering with previous experience in an aviation engineering environment
Assist with the running of the Domestic Helicopter Landing Site
Deputise for the Training Support Engineering Support Manager as required.
Assist with the Health and Safety requirements (COSHH, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work etc) for the Training Support section
