Post: CaretakerContract type: part time, 22.5 hours per week, Permanent, All Year RoundPay Scale: £25,992 - £27,269 (£15,805 - £16,582 pro rata)Winterbourne Academy are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Caretaker to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This part time position involves working 22.5 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from 4.30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday. The Caretaker will assist the Lead Caretaker in ensuring the safe and efficient management of all aspects of daily facilities operations at the academy. Responsibilities include site maintenance, non-structural repairs, heating, ventilation, safety, security, and maintaining cleanliness across the premises.
The ideal candidate will be professional, self-motivated, and capable of working independently using their initiative. They should thrive in a fast-paced, demanding role and bring a broad range of practical skills to support site maintenance and improvement works. Physical fitness is essential to manage the physically demanding responsibilities of the Caretaker role.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational and time management skills. They will approach tasks with a logical, resourceful, proactive, and efficient mindset. Confident in communication, they will excel at building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, always demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
